Karachi: Former cricket star and coach Andy Flower has said that Babar Azam is a cricketer with extra ordinary abilities.
Flower, who coached Gulf Giants in ILT20, expressed these views on Pakistan Cricket’s biggest website www.cricketpakistan.com.pk. In a special interview.
He said that he cannot talk about Babar Azam being removed from the captaincy as he is not part of the Pakistani dressing room. As far as form is concerned, he played a good innings in the T20 series, with overall consistency. Scored runs, there is no superman who always performs at the highest standard, Babar Azam is a cricketer of extraordinary ability.
He said that the visiting teams in Australia and New Zealand had a hard time, Pakistan and Australia had good matches in the Test series, but the Green Caps could have done the result in their favor if they had not dropped a few important catches. The players should be proud of the way the visiting team played cricket in the tough Australian conditions.
The former coach said that New Zealand has the services of the best players in white ball cricket, there are also real power hitters, it is never easy to beat the Kiwis at home ground, if you make any mistakes, you have to bear the punishment. I think both tours were very difficult.
Andy Flower said, “Last year I got tired of serving teams in ILT20, HBL PSL and IPL without a break, so I will not be available for the current Pakistan league. It will not be possible for me to be a part of PSL as the year also conflicts with the scheduled ILT Twenty.
