Melbourne: By the end of play on the second day of the Boxing Day Test, Pakistan scored 194 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the first innings, while the green shirts needed 124 more runs to end Australia’s lead.
Second day
Australia started the innings with 187 runs for the loss of 3 wickets, but the Kangaroos’ innings ended after only 131 runs. The fast bowlers of the national team sent 7 players to the pavilion in the first session, Aamir Jamal took 3, Shaheen Afridi, Mir Hamza and Hasan Ali 2 each while Salman Ali Agha took one wicket.
When Pakistan started their first innings, opener Imamul Haq returned to the pavilion after scoring 10 runs, Abdullah Shafiq and captain Shaun Masood formed a partnership of 90 runs for the second wicket, but Abdullah got out after scoring 62 runs and Shaun 54 runs. Babar Azam once again looked like a picture of failure and proved to be a guest of just one run. Middle order batsman Saud Shakeel scored 9 runs, Salman Ali Agha scored 5 runs.
Mohammad Rizwan 29 and Aamir Jamal are at the crease with 2 runs.
Pat Cummins took 3 wickets, Nathan Lyne took 2 wickets and Josh Hazlewood took 1 wicket for Australia.
First day
In the match being played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the national team won the toss and invited Australia to bat. The Australian openers scored 90 runs for the first wicket partnership, but opener David Warner was dismissed for 38 runs. After that, the second wicket of Kangaroos fell on 108 runs, here Usman Khawaja returned to the pavilion after scoring 42 runs.

Marnes Labushin was at the wicket with 14 and Steven Smith with 2 before the rain affected the game. After the rain, the game resumed, both the batsmen added 40 runs, but here Steven Smith scored 26 runs and was caught out by Aamir Jamal.
At the end of the first day’s play, Marnus Labushin was at the wicket for 44 and Travis Head for 9 runs.
Fast bowlers Hasan Ali, Amir Jamal and Agha Salman took one wicket each for Pakistan. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mir Hamza could not get any wickets
