Pakistan strongly condemns killing of its citizens in Iran

Bodies of nine Pakistanis killed being airlifted to Multan today

Pakistan has clearly condemned the killing of Pakistani citizens in Iran.
Spokesperson of the Foreign Office, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, in a statement called it a horrific and despicable incident. He said that the government is in touch with the Iranian authorities, stressing the need for an immediate investigation into the incident and the accountability of those involved in this heinous crime.
Our consular in Zahedan is en route to the hospital where the injured are being treated, and is expected to arrive in a few hours due to the long distance and security requirements, the spokesman said.
During his visit he will also meet the local authorities and among other things will emphasize the urgent need for strict action against the perpetrators of this crime.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch announced that Pakistan is fully aware of the seriousness of this issue and is taking all necessary steps. The embassy is committed to the early repatriation of the deceased.
Expressing determination, the spokesperson of the Foreign Office said that such cowardly attacks cannot deter Pakistan from its determination to fight terrorism.
