The International Court of Justice ordered Israel to stop the genocide of Palestinians, but did not even mention a ceasefire and stop all military activities in Gaza.

According to the United Nations, more than 26,000 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 1.9 million displaced in Gaza since October 7.

Speaking to Al Jazeera, many people in Gaza said they were disappointed but not surprised by the decision. Because they have no faith in the international community or the international justice system, which has so far failed to end the bloodshed in Gaza.

Among them was Ahmad al-Nafr, 54, outside al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, who said, “Although I don’t trust the international community, I had a small hope that maybe the court in Gaza It will give a decision of truce, but after hearing the decision, all my hopes died, this is a failed court.

Ahmed al-Nafar is the father of 5 girls whose family is now home and is currently sheltering in the hospital yard with hundreds of other Palestinians. It is very sad that no one can make a ceasefire. Everyone is watching our destruction without making any serious effort. We don’t want aid or food, we want an end to the war and a return to our homes in Gaza.

On November 20, he was arrested at home by Israeli forces, held in Israeli custody for 24 hours, after which he was forced to leave Gaza City. Al Nafar said that he is very worried for his wife and five daughters who are alone in Gaza City without me in these terrible conditions. My daughters are alone with their mother. Required.

Al-Nafar said he was interrogated and abused in Israeli custody, severely beaten, and then released and ordered to go south.

Al-Nafar said he told his daughters over the phone that the court’s decision would be “positive and in our favor,” ending the ceasefire. But I was wrong, I feel very sad and disappointed. Kill us all, let Israel drop atomic bombs on Gaza and save us from this torment once and for all.
