The body of Maria, an unmarried young girl, allegedly strangled by her brother and father to cover up their relentless sexual assaults on her and the resulting pregnancy, was exhumed on Thursday for further forensic analysis. A postmortem examination was performed on Maria’s body, before being sent to the Punjab Forensic Lab for further investigation.
