16 ‘drug addict’ inmates in Peshawar Central Jail test positive for HIV

At least 16 prisoners of Peshawar Central Jail have tested positive for HIV (human immunodeficiency viruses) after fresh blood screening, increasing risks to the lives of several inmates in already “overcrowded and outdated” prison facilities. Peshawar Central Jail Superintendent Muhammad Waseem Khan told that over a dozen prisoners tested positive for HIV after blood screening.
