WhatsApp, the world’s largest instant messaging application, has started testing status sharing for web version or desktop users as well.
Currently the status or story is shared only through mobile but soon all users will be able to share stories or status through desktop i.e. web version as well.
According to a website that monitors WhatsApp updates, the feature of sharing stories or statuses through the web version has started testing.
Initially limited users have been given access to this feature, as soon as users click on the status icon on the web version, they will be given access to the stories sharing feature.
Under the mentioned feature, users will be able to share photos and videos as statuses from the desktop as well and the statuses shared from there will automatically disappear after 24 hours.
The web version will also give users the same status privacy options that they get on mobile phones.
