The Election Commission has issued SOPs for recounting of votes

Islamabad: SOPs have been issued by the Election Commission in case of recounting of votes in the elections.
According to the Election Commission, the Election Commission Secretariat will be open on February 10 and 11 and requests for recount of votes from applicants or candidates will be received from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The hearing will also be held on Saturday and Sunday.
Necessary instructions for submission of petitions SOPs have been uploaded on the website of the Election Commission according to which submit your petitions, the detailed points of which are given as follows:
According to the notification of the Election Commission, 9 copies of the petitions, one original and 8 copies with complete details have to be submitted with the date of filing. The applicant shall provide the application in soft copy (PDF) along with any supporting documents in USB and attach it to the application.
Applicants should attach their identity card copy with the application and write their valid current address and contact number. Further, complete details and address of the defendants have to be written.
If the application is being filed by an advocate, the application should be accompanied by a letter of attorney, advocate’s card and other contact numbers. All applications should have regular indexing, page numbering and flagging.
According to the Election Commission, only the applications received on the specified date and time will be scheduled for hearing before the Election Commission.
