The Department of Meteorology has said that traffic is likely to be affected due to snowfall in the upper regions of the country during January 30 and 31, tourists have been instructed to be careful.
According to the Meteorological Department on Sunday, during the next 24 hours, the weather will be cold and partly cloudy in most parts of the country, while it will remain cloudy in the upper districts. However, there is a possibility of rain in the coastal areas of Islamabad, Potohar region, Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and North Balochistan and Makran and snowfall in the mountains. Light to medium fog will prevail in some plain areas of Punjab in the morning hours.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will be cold in most parts of the country and cloudy in upper districts on Monday. However, there is a possibility of rain in Gilgit-Baltistan, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas and snowfall on the mountains. There is also a possibility of drizzle in the Potohar region in the morning hours.
Light to medium fog will prevail in some plain areas of Punjab and Upper Sindh. During the last 24 hours, the weather has been cold and partly cloudy in most parts of the country. It rained in some districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir.
The plains of Punjab and the districts of Upper Sindh remained covered in fog/smog. Heaviest rainfall: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Pada Chinar 20, Patan 10, Dir (Upper 13, Lower 03), Malam Jabba, Saidu Sharif 04, Mir Khani, Kalam, Takht Bai 02, Darosh, Chitral, Balakot 01 and Kashmir: Gardhi Dupta recorded one mm rain.
Minimum temperature recorded on Sunday: Leh minus 08 degrees Celsius, Kalam minus 06 degrees Celsius, Skardu, Gopus minus 05 degrees Celsius, Astor minus 04 degrees Celsius and Malam Jabba recorded minus 03 degrees Celsius.
