National cricket team opener Abdullah Shafiq commented on David Warner dropping the catch.
Speaking to the media at the end of the second day’s play at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Abdullah Shafiq said that unfortunately David Warner’s important catch was dropped.
The opener said that no fielder wants to drop the catch, it was my mistake which I admit.
Abdullah Shafiq said that every player is trying to win the Melbourne Test but some things are not in our hands. Of course he was not in form at that time.
The young cricketer praised the Australian captain and said that it was the last over of Pete Cummins’ spell, if it had been played, it could have put pressure on Australia but unfortunately the ball went high in the air.
It should be noted that Abdullah Shafiq had established a partnership of 90 runs with captain Shan Masood for the second wicket, but he fell victim to Pete Cummins.
